The fall 2022 newsletter features awards in recognition of faculty who contributed to academic development and senior research projects. It also introduces new faculty members who will join the ECE department this semester.

The spring 2022 newsletter features a letter from ECE chair Monson H. Hayes and his plans for adjusting the classroom and teaching experience during this pandemic. It also features profiles from faculty and students whose research projects brought in awards and their achievements. 

The cover story of the Fall 2021 edition of our newsletter features our faculty member Nathalia Peixoto's inspiring and energetic activities mentoring students at all levels from high school to doctoral students. We share our department's initiatives to provide hands-on lab experiences to students during the past year, as well as exciting developments and achievements of our faculty and students, such as participation in a robotic balloons competition and prestigious awards and grants our faculty have received.

The Fall 2020 edition of our newsletter celebrates ECE faculty and student research in COVID and non-COVID related areas. The cover story leads us through the exciting career path of research faculty member, Dr Elder. This edition also introduces us to new changes in the computer engineering programs and the new minor in ECE.

The Spring 2020 edition of our newsletter showcases our work in big data, engineering education, and online learning. We also welcome two new faculty members Sai Manoj and Khaled Khasawneh.

The Fall 2019 edition of our newsletter highlights our research in robotics from swarm robotics to underwater robotics and a robotic orchestra by our faculty members.

The Spring 2019 edi­tion of our newslet­ter high­lights our space ini­tia­tives from com­mu­ni­ca­tion with satel­lites and space ve­hi­cles on mis­sions to the moon.

The Fall 2018 edition of our newsletter celebrates the achievements of the Mason Rocketry Club which captured the first place in the target altitude event at the Battle of the Rockets competition.

The Spring 2018 edition of our newsletter showcases the new Cyber-Physical Systems Lab which was created by Kai Zeng and Jim Jones and contains industrial controllers and tethered drones.

The Fall 2017 edition of our newsletter showcases the award-winning senior design project “ASTRA Active Shooter Tactical Response Assistant.”

The Spring 2017 edition of our newsletter introduces three new faculty members: Feitian Zhang and Cameron Nowzari (robotics) and Xiang Chen (computer engineering) who joined us in fall 2016.
