George Mason's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering produces some of the best engineers in the world. Help us continue to do that by sponsoring a senior design project, and/or the department as a whole.
If you're wondering how to help, consider:
- Offering students internships and learning opportunities outside the classroom.
- Mentoring a student.
- Partnering with students on their year-long senior design projects. Industry sponsors can support a team of seniors to help them conceptualize, design, analyze, build, test, and report on an engineering problem that benefits the sponsor.
- Funding scholarships and financial aid for students, including those in the Mason-NOVA ADVANCE program.
- Supporting students' travel to conferences and national competitions.
- Supporting faculty research.
- Donating to build and equip labs.
- Sponsoring a lecture series or other event during Engineers Week.

Senior Design Project Sponsor
Both Electrical and Computer Engineering undergraduate programs culminate in a year-long senior design project. In this capstone experience, students develop innovative designs that are ultimately built and tested in our senior design lab. Consider officially sponsoring an ECE Senior Design project by providing the design problem and support throughout the two semesters to a team of 4-6 students. A representative from the sponsoring company should participate in design review.
Department Sponsor
Your support will advance the department’s mission, including lab improvements, outreach programs, and programs for attracting the best and brightest students.
